Dr. Damon M. Ellis obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology at West Virginia University where he graduated with high honors. Dr. Ellis then attended University of California Berkeley to earn his Doctorate Degree in Optometry. While in school, Dr. Ellis also studied abroad in Australia and Beijing China, where Dr. Ellis was fortunate enough to do an externship at China’s top medical university, where he was able to see some of the country’s most interesting and challenging medical cases. Dr. Ellis also headed a free vision clinic at Berkeley that provided eye exams and glasses to those in need.

Dr. Ellis is a published children’s author and is very comfortable examining children. His first book Lion Stew! came out in 2012. Dr. Ellis is originally from Boston but relocated to L.A. in search of sunshine and surfing. He lives in L.A. County with his wife and two daughters.

​​​​​Dr. Amanda Ly’s passion for eye care began at University of California, Los Angeles where she received her Bachelor of Science in Integrative Biology and Physiology. Dr. Ly went on to become a graduate of University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry. Her professional training includes externships in the Veteran Administration Hospital System and community clinics, where she dedicated her time to empowering patients with knowledge about their eye health and to providing an environment where every patient feels heard and cared for. In her free time, Dr. Ly enjoys outdoor swimming, weight lifting, and perfecting her pancake recipe.
